What you'll get

For real estate brokers: the Real Estate Commission's April 2026 booklet says anyone paid to handle real estate deals for others must hold a license, and it covers the 75-hour prelicensing course, the $105 application fee, a two-part exam with its own $63 fee and the $50 annual renewal between May 15 and June 30. It adds that most new licensees start as provisional brokers who need a broker-in-charge to work on active status, so read the first ten pages to see whose supervision you would work under before you pay for a course.

Do this week

Name two WNC brokerages that might supervise you as a new provisional broker and ask each what it expects from brokers who work under its broker-in-charge.
