What Dozens School collects, who sees it, and how to delete it. Last updated October 20, 2026.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody can read it.
- Your company: its name, one-line description, website, track, city and county, and who its founders are.
- Your weekly updates: your answers, numbers and goals, and any replies from staff.
- Your progress: the lessons you've marked complete or skipped, and the stage you picked on the curriculum page.
- Sign-in records: when you signed in, how many times, and the IP address you signed in from, kept so we can spot misuse of your account.
Who sees it
- Weekly updates are seen by your company's founders and Dozens School staff. Nobody else.
- The member directory shows other signed-in members your company's name, one-line description, track, city and county, and website.
- We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Services we use
- Heroku hosts the site and its database.
- An email delivery service sends account emails, reminders and replies.
- Rollbar receives an error report when something breaks: the page you were on, your IP address and, if you're signed in, your account's ID number.
- Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces, so your browser fetches them from Google, which sees your IP address.
- YouTube plays lesson videos in its privacy-enhanced player. YouTube receives your IP address when a lesson page loads, and its own privacy policy applies once you play a video.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and a second if you tick "Keep me signed in". There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Emails
We send account emails (confirming your address, resetting your password), a Friday reminder when your company hasn't posted that week's update, replies from staff, and invitations from your cofounders. You can turn reminders off in Email settings.
Deleting your information
Delete your account from Your account. That removes your account and your lesson progress. Your company and its weekly updates stay for your cofounders. To delete your company too, email [email protected].
