ApprenticeshipNC, part of the NC Community College System, explains group-sponsored registered apprenticeships, where a sponsor such as a community college holds the registration and employers join instead of registering a program of their own, then adjust the work processes, coursework and wage steps to fit their business. It points to a directory of existing programs by occupation, county and employer, and a 90-second video from the same office covers how to register a program of your own.
Do this week
Search the page's Group Programs Directory for your occupation in your county, and write down the sponsor, what an employer must do to join and one question to ask an ApprenticeshipNC consultant.
