One order of operations for starting a startup

Michael Seibel, 16 minute video

What you'll get

Michael Seibel's order for the first months: pick a problem, build the simplest version that works, and get one or two customers before anything else; around the ten-minute mark he says most ideas don't need an incorporation to try. A prototype and a few test sales can come before the entity, but plan to form one before you sign a factory contract, pay a tooling deposit or sell in volume.

Do this week

Go through this week's to-do list and move any legal or paperwork task that doesn't block your next prototype or customer conversation to later, keeping any safety testing your product needs before you sell.
