What you'll get

For products made for children: CPSC's small batch page lets a firm under its yearly revenue and unit caps register each year to skip testing at a CPSC-accepted lab for some safety rules, though never for others such as small parts and lead in paint; the page gives the current caps, which change. The Children's Product Certificate and the tracking label still apply, so use the page to sort your product's rules into those a lab must always test and those you may cover another way.

Do this week

Run the Regulatory Robot for your product, sort the rules it lists into the page's Group A and Group B, and write down which ones a CPSC-accepted lab would always have to test.
