Employers Overview
This lesson is a guide published by ApprenticeshipNC.
Read the guideWhat you'll get
ApprenticeshipNC, part of the NC Community College System, explains registered apprenticeship for employers as on-the-job learning combined with classroom instruction, offers each employer a consultant who helps design a program and find candidates at no cost, and describes group programs that let a small employer join without registering its own. Treat it as free help designing training rather than a wage subsidy, and read it before you hire your first production staff.
Do this week
Write the two or three production jobs you will need to fill in the next year and the skills each needs, then use the page's consultant link to ask whether a group program covers them.
